Amabile

Amabile - Linienverkehre mit Alternativen Bedienungsformen

The AMABILE project has been carried out in two successive project phases. The aim of the first interdisciplinary project phase was to develop a framework of model-theoretic, economic and legal conditions for joint bidding traditional public transport services combined with demand-responsive transport solutions. Since 2003 the plan has been put into practice on the basis of a concrete invitation to tender for transport services integrating demand-responsive transport services in rural areas. PTV assists all responsible parties involved in the tendering process, especially in their preparatory works, such as defining the type of transport service, creating the performance description, and calculating the break-even point on the basis of different scenarios. Additionally, RTT provides consulting services during the implementation phase. Project results are likely to be presented in the form of a user-friendly guideline by April 2006.
