KOMODA
KOMODA - Co-modality – towards optimised integrated chains in freight logistics
In the context of multi-modal transport-planning and management, information and communication technologies (ICT) have more and more importance. A multiplicity of e-logistic applications and networked information processes can be identified on different economic levels. A specific care should be given on aspects like information availability, usability, accessibility to technologies and more. Main objectives of this project are as follows:
- Selection and delineation of trendsetting ICT for the integration of multi modal logistic chains,
- drafting strategies for developing common and lean information processes in intermodal freight transport,
- producing a Road-Map with structured procedures to realize the strategies.
The Road-Map will include associated action plans to develop innovative and in the future common usable ICT in multi-modal freight transport. The roles of different groups, possible obstacles and chances will be carefully analysed.
