Dmotion - Düsseldorf in Motion
The aim of Dmotion is to create an effective strategic traffic management for the conurbation of Düsseldorf.
The Düsseldorf traffic network is affected by the four-way motorway interchange A57, A44, A3 and A46 as well as many arterial roads. This network structure provides an excellent prerequisite for an extensive traffic management system between the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the city.
Currently, each road construction developer organises traffic in their jurisdiction with their own management and information systems. In Dmotion these two systems are joined to form an extensive traffic management system including all road construction developers, with the aim of generating comprehensive traffic conditions reports for the region around the state capital.
Private service providers are also included in Dmotion in order to include the strategy recommendations in modern navigation systems.
