FeedMAP
For the past years, the importance of accurate and up-to-date map information has increased dramatically. Digital maps are seen as a kind of "new vehicle sensor" which recognises objects or dangerous curves before the driver or other sensors see them. The earlier project ActMAP already prepared the way by flexibly updating the map data in the vehicle. In the project FeedMAP, vehicles helped to record map errors, so that a cycle of information occurs: The data travels from the vehicle to the map control centre using FeedMAP and from the map headquarters to the vehicle. | ||
