IT Implementations BMS

The project "IT-implementation of construction-management-system-program-modules (BMS)" contains the DP technical concept and implementation of a construction management system for the Federation and Länder. PTV AG, together with its project partner KHP mbH Leipzig was given the order as advisory engineering office by the German Federal Highway Research Institute to implement all four programme modules in the BMS project.

Based on the expert concepts developed in different research projects, in which PTV AG was involved to a large extent, a central controlling instrument for maintaining bridges and tunnels on a Federal and Länder level will be realised which will support all steps from generating measures on the construction to the total economic evaluation of measures right up to the selection of measures on a network level. In addition it enables the simulation of different maintenance scenarios and therefore makes a fundamental contribution to the medium and long-term planning of financial requirements.

After the specification phase and completion of the DP concepts of the four programmes, the project is now in the implementation stage.
