BESTUFS (I + II) – Best Urban Freight Solutions
The European Coordination Action „BEST Urban Freight Solutions“ (BESTUFS) aimed at the identifation of solutions in urban commercial transport, the description of success factors respectively problem areas and at the disseminaton of the results to a general public. Furthermore BESTUFS coordinated a european network of experts, scientists, associations, projects, European Commission as well as national, regional and local transport and urban planning authorities and operators. The team from BESTUFS organised periodical workshops and conferences throughout Europe and reported interesting developments, experiments and events in the field of urban commercial transport– on an european, national, regional and local level. BESTUFS made a name for itself between experts and researchers. All results were published on the project website www.bestufs.net.
PTV coordinated the complete BESTUFS network and was responsible among others for the creation of a practice guide for urban goods transport in 17 languages.
